Reno Motorcycle Accident Closes South Virginia St. Near South Meadows

Police from Reno have limited traffic on South Virginia Southbound near South Meadows as the police investigators are researching a Reno motorcycle accident. A man driving a motorcycle had critical injuries and the accident happened around 4 p.m. Police are asking motorists to avoid driving on that section of South Virginia as the crash is investigated. Police have information that a car involved in the crash fled the scene of the accident.

 

In mid June, two motorcyclists were hurt seriously and a man driving a car was arrested on Wednesday, June 17th. The accident happened around 1:30 a.m in the morning. The crash was on highway Reno near the highway’s Mustang Exit in Sparks, NV. One man and one woman were hurt in the accident. Their names were William Cole and Karen Cole. Both of the Cole’s are aged just above 50 years old and are husband and wife. After the accident, the Cole’s were taken to Renown hospital in downtown Reno. Doctors are concerned that Mr. Cole may pass away from his injuries.

 

Police are alleging that the Cole’s were hit by Bernardo Ugalde-Torres, who was driving a Hyundai Elantra. 22-year old Ugalde-Torres first rear ended the the Cole’s and ended up rolling his car over. The Hyundai driver sustained very minor injuries from the accident. Mr. Ugalde-Torres was arrested for drunk driving in the Sparks motorbike crash.

 

Another Northern Nevada road bike collision left a woman from California dead on Saturday June 13tth. The woman who was killed was Amber R. Hallmark, 53. Ms. Hallmark was a resident of Antioch, CA. The accident happened when Ms. Hallmark’s motorcycle was struck by a driver from the State of Washington. Ms. Hallmark was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The accident happened when the driver from Washington State veered into oncoming traffic in Zephyr Cove. Police investigating the crash have stated that they believe the crash may have been caused by use of drugs and alcohol and that the driver may have not been paying complete attention at the time of the crash.
