A car accident in Reno yesterday is now being investigated as a case of possible medical issues or an episode. Police are still not at all clear what the cause of the accident was in which a 52 year old man died. The accident happened on Hunter Lake drive, in the northbound lane in the area of Plumb. Indications are that he lost control, bounced off and over the curb, went end over end at least once and then finally came to rest on the side of the vehicle. No other people or vehicles were involved in this Northern Nevada fatal accident. If a loved one of yours has been killed in an accident like this, or you have suffered injury, you need to speak to a good Reno lawyer about your legal options. The vehicle involved in the accident, a Subaru, was where the man was found. No passengers were in the car, and no eye witnesses have as yet been identified who might be able to shed some light on the accident. The man must have been alive, as it has been reported in recent Nevada news about this Reno auto accident that emergency personnel responding to the scene attempted life saving measures on the man. There is no other indication that would lead to a possible reason for the accident having taken place. For instance, it does not appear, according to initial and subsequent reports from the Reno Police Sgt. Brian Adamson who was detailing the accident for local reports, that alcohol or driving under the influence in Nevada were at fault.

The plane was supposed to have crashed around 11 o’clock in the morning, and was first seen just before noon by a helicopter flown by the CHP. You’re almost always going to see a lot of car accidents in Northern Nevada in snowy weather like this. When the snow comes in, especially if it’s on a weekend and therefore might lure more out of towners up to the slopes, there are always more car crashes in Washoe County. Sometimes they are truly accidents: people going a safe speed (one that is well under the speed limit), correctly using snow driving techniques and tricks, and a big gust of wind or a random patch of blown snow or a lake of black ice in a particularly problematic spot causes an accident. But more often than not it’s about people driving unsafely in the snow. Even if you’re driving a speed that’s appropriate for a driver who is familiar with snow driving and the finer points thereof, if you’re not comfortable driving that speed then you should drive slower. You could be in line for a speeding ticket in Nevada, or worse, an accident.
